Op 6-7-2002, kreeg de DCW een melding binnen van de heer J. Maarsen, die rijdende over de A 76, deze formatie ontdekte. De volgende dag ontvingen wij van de heer H. Roes, eveneens een melding betreffende deze formatie. De DCW bedankt deze heren heel hartelijk voor hun meldingen.

Van de Heer W. Hordijk ontvingen we diverse foto's, waarvan we deze detailopname publiceren:

Op 27 Juli ontvingen we een foto van Will Hordijk. De formatie bleek vernield te zijn voor de aanleg van een gasleiding.......

In April 2003 ontvingen wij aanvullende foto's van deze formatie van Andreas Vogt, die we natuurlijk ook hartelijk danken

De heer de Quastenit bezocht deze formatie voor de DCW op 7 juli, en ontdekte die dag dat er een paar honderd meter verderop nog drie graancirkels lagen. de heer Maarssen had ons daar reeds op geattendeerd. We danken de heer de Quastenit voor zijn bereidheid de formatie te bezoeken, en foto's en een tekening te maken.

Daar de formatie op hetzelfde moment ontstaan is als het pictorgram, gaat de DCW er van uit, dat het geen nieuwe formatie betreft, maar een aanvulling op het pictogram.

Deze locatie, in steeds het zelfde veld is een bekende graancirkellocatie. Ook in 1993, 1996 en 2000 was dit veld "gastheer" van schitterende formaties.

Ubachsberg 1996

In 1993 ontstond er in dit veld, een spraakmakende formatie. het was eerste "planeten pictogram" dat in Nederland ontstond. Hij werd ontdekt op 11 juli van dat jaar, langs de snelweg Heerlen - Aken (A76), tijdens de politieke topconferentie die naam zou gaan maken als het "Verdrag van Maastricht".

In Augustus 1996, een topjaar voor Nederlandse graancirkels, met ca 100 aangemelde formaties, ontstond er in dit veld een wederom heel bijzondere formatie. Daar deze formatie door veel mensen werd bezocht, kwam hij er na verloop van tijd door de aangerichte schade heel anders uit te zien. De beschadigde formatie werd door velen als "echt" gezien.

Ubachsberg 2000

Hoewel de formatie Ubachsberg 2002 er anders uitziet, vertoont deze toch veel kenmerken van die van 2000. Behalve vanwege het graancirkel onderzoek is deze formatie ook op een andere manier van belang. Dit veld ligt op de Benzenrade breuklijn, die weer onderdeel van de Rijndalslenk is, waartoe ook andere zijbeuken horen, zoals Feldbies en de Peellandbreuk.

Restanten uit een periode die 35 miljoen jaar achter ons ligt, in het Oligoceen.

On 6 july 2002, The DCW got a report of J. Maarssen, who drove over the highway A76. The next day, we've got a report of H. Roes,also a report according to this formation.The DCW thanks them both very much for reporting.

Mr. De Quastenit visited the formation for the DCW on july 7th, and discovered, that a few hundreds of meters away from the formation 3 cirkels were "imprinted" in the field. Mr Maarsen already reported it to us. We thank mr De Quastenit for his willingness to visite the formation, and for making pictures and a drawing.

From Mr. Will. Hordijk, we received several pictures, from which we publish a detail of the formation.

On the 27th of july, Will Hordijk sended is a picture, of the damaged formation. A gas pipeline had to be put in the ground.......

In April 2003 we received some areal shots of this formations, from Andreas Vogt. We thank him for the allowance to publish them.

Because of the fact, this formation apeared on the same moment as the pictogramm, the DCW considers it as an adition on the pictogram, so not a new formation.

This location, always in the same field, is a very well known cropcircle location. In 1993, 1996 and 2000,this field was "host" to spectacular cropcircles.

In 1993, a very famous cropcirkle appeared in this field. It was the first "Planet" pictogram in Holland. It was discovered on the 11th july of that year, along the highway A76 from Heerlen to Aachen (D), during the european top conference, that will be mentioned in history as the "Agreement of Maastricht".

In August 1996, A top yeear for Dutch cropcircles, with about 100 registered formations, another very special formation appeared in this field. Unfortunately, a lot of people visited this formation, which caused a lot of damage, and after a while it looked quite different, by the damage done. The damaged formation was kept for genuine by a lot of people

Ubachsberg 2002

However the Ubachsberg formation 2002 looks different, it has a lot of marks that are the same as the 2000 one. Except of the cropcircle research, this formation is very important for another reason. This field lays on the Benzenrader break line, which is part of the "Rijndalslenk", to wich others belong as the Feldbies, and the Peellandbreuk
