Kunstenaar koopt graancirkel Stadskanaal

Stadskanaal – Kunstenaar en eigenaar van een modezaak Chris Westen uit Stadskanaal, bekend van zijn vogelverschrikker-project, heeft de graancirkel 'schorpioen' gekocht van akkerbouwer Jan Hendrik Adams. Deze mysterieuze formatie ontstond begin deze maand en werd wereldnieuws toen er tijdens de aanwezigheid van enkele onderzoekers binnen tien minuten een negende cirkel groeide in de staart van de schorpioen. De tarwe binnen de bijzondere formatie en er iets rondom is speciaal voor Westen door Adams geoogst. Westen wil er typisch Oost-Groninger 'harde broodjes' van laten bakken om te verkopen voor een goed doel. "Ik geloof niet dat er iets speciaals met dat graan aan de hand is, maar het is wel bekend. Het heeft voor veel mensen een speciale betekenis. Daardoor krijgt het doel de volle aandacht."De opbrengst van de broodjes wil Westen bestemmen voor de stichting Solidariteit onder Mensen in Stadskanaal. Deze stichting verzorgt iedere woensdag voor enkele tientallen mesen in Stadskanaal, die tussen wal en schip dreigen te raken, een warme maaltijd. Westen wil met zijn actie een groot bedrag binnenhalen. "Ik schat toch wel een paar duizend gulden te kunnen verdienen aan de broodjes," denkt de kunstenaar.

De tarwe wordt apart opgeslagen en binnenkort door molenaar Pot uit Oude Pekela gemalen. In december start de inschrijf-verkoopactie van de zakken met tien broodjes, die bakker Geert Bos in februari volgend jaar gaat bakken. "Ik denk dat hij er wel tegen de tienduizend broodjes van kan bakken." Het aankoopbedrag van de tarwe-schorpioen neemt Westen voor eigen rekening. "Ik bereken de kostprijs," zegt Adams, die overigens een vergeefse poging deed om het platgeslagen koren binnen de cirkelformatie te oogsten. "Dat lag zo plat op de grond, dat de combine alleen nog maar zand hapte en twee keer verstopt raakte. Die delen van de cirkels liggen er nog."

Het is een ontzettend goed idee van Chris Westen om op deze ludieke manier de aandacht te vestigen op en gelden trachten te verkrijgen voor een plaatselijk goed doel. Toch is het oppassen geblazen!!! In graancirkels treden de meest wonderbaarlijke verschijnselen op. Telefoons, videocamera's en andere apparatuur weigeren dienst, worden merkwaardige verschijnselen waargenomen, en niet in de laatste plaats ervaren bezoekers lichamelijke en geestelijke veranderingen. Bekend is dat mensen in formaties een omslag in gemoedstoestand ervaren, van negatief naar positief, maar ook andersom. Van deze formatie is wereldwijd bekend dat onderzoekers zich in de formatie niet goed voelden en er uit moesten. Ook worden sommige toch niet mis te verstane ziekten regelmatig in verband gebracht met het gerelmatig bezoeken van de formaties, voor zover ik weet is hiernaar nog geen onderzoek gedaan. Ik zou dan ook erg voorzichtig zijn met het nuttigen van het product.

Zolang niet vaststaat waardoor formaties ontstaan, er geen enkel wetenschappenlijk bewijs is of ze de gezondheid al dan niet schaden, zou ik het brood niet eten. In elk geval is door onderzoek van Dr. L. Levengood en zijn BLT team komen vast te staan, dat in echte graancirkels significante verschillen zijn waargenomen in celgrote, kiemkracht en andere zaken ten opzichte van graan van buiten de formaties Het is dan ook te hopen voor de Stadskanaalse bevolking dat het hier een door mensen handen gemaakte formatie is, of één met een gezonde impact

Stadskanaal - Artist and owner of a dressing mode shop Chris Westen from Stadskanaal, famous of his scarecrow project, has bought the Scorpio formation from farmer Jan Hendrik Adams. This mysterious formation appeared at the beginning of this month, and became world news as, during the presence of some crop circle researchers, within ten minutes a 9th circle grew in the tail of the formation. The wheat within the formation, and a bit around it has been specially been harvested for Westen by Adams.

Westen wants to let bake typically "Oost Groninger hard breads"of it, to sell for a good purpose. "I don't believe there is something special with the wheat, but it's well known. For a lot of people it has a special meaning. Through that the good purpose will get the full attention". Westen wants to donate the profits for the "solidarity among people of Stadskanaal foundation". This foundation, every Wednesday takes care for some people in Stadskanaal, having , a hard life, getting a warm meal. Westen wants to gather a large amount of money. "I guess I could earn a few thousand guilders", the artist thinks.

The wheat will be stored separated, and in short time it will be grinded by miller Pot of Oude Pekela. In December the subscribe sales action starts of the bags with 10 little breads each, that can be baked by baker Geert Bos in February 2002 "I think he can bake about ten thousand small breads of it

The price for buying the formation will be paid by Westen himself. It's a very good idea of Chris Westen to pay attention to, and trying to gather some money, by this frivolous action for a local good purpose. But it's good to take care!!! In crop circles the most curious events happens. Telephone, video camera's, and other equipment are malfunctioning, and not in the last place, visitors of formation often experience Physical an mental changes. Well known is that people experience a change in there state of mind, from negative to positive, but also the other way around. From this specific formation, its world wide known some crop circle researchers didn't feel well in the formation and had to go out. Sometimes some awful illnesses are connected with regularly visiting crop circles. As far as I know, no research was don in this suggested link. So I would be very careful eating this bread. As long as it isn't clear by what means the formation appear, scientific evidence or statements are done about this item, I shouldn't eat the bread. Anyway, In the many researches of Dr L. Levengood and his BLT team, it came out clear, some significant differences were fond in measurements of the cells and growing speeds of seeds from inside and outside the formations. I hope for the people of Stadskanaal, this was a man made formation, or at least one with positive impact.
